1. Introduction
QR Password Manager (QPM) is a mobile password management service developed by eStorm that manages your usernames and passwords. Unlike conventional password managers that synchronize your passwords with the cloud, the QPM service stores all your IDs and passwords exclusively on your smartphone. When a username and password are needed in the PC Chrome browser, they are transmitted to the PC via integration with the QPM Chrome extension. Users can manage all their online IDs and passwords independently of the browser, directly from their smartphone using the QPM app.
2. Data Storage and Security
QPM uniquely operates by storing all your login credentials exclusively on your smartphone. When accessing services on a PC, a QR code generated by QPM Chrome extension can be scanned using the QPM mobile app to autofill your credentials. This method ensures that your data remains secure on your device, without the need for cloud synchronization. Encryption during data transmission is guaranteed through asymmetric key cryptography, further protecting your information.
3. Use of Google AdMob
For our free users, QPM displays display ads served by Google AdMob. While QPM does not collect any personal information from users, device and app usage data may be shared with Google AdMob to enable targeted advertising based on Google AdMob’s policies. Please note, this interaction involves only non-personal identifiable information to facilitate ad serving.
4. Personal Information
QPM does not require users to provide any personal information upon registration. Initial setup requires only a PIN code or smartphone biometric authentication, without the need to create a master username and password. Consequently, QPM does not collect or store any personal information, including email addresses or phone numbers, on any server.
5. User’s Rights
All users have the right to manage their credential data securely within the QPM app. Should you lose your smartphone, your data remains protected, assuming the device’s security measures are in place. For any concerns regarding privacy or data management, users are encouraged to reach out.
6. Contact Information
For any inquiries related to privacy and data protection, please contact eStorm’s Legal Department at Legal@estorm.co.kr.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
eStorm reserves the right to update this privacy policy as necessary. Users will be informed of any significant changes that might affect their rights through the settings menu within the QPM app.
